Lost and Found
Children's Picture Book | Watercolour & Ink

This project is extremely close to my heart, and is something that I will be continuing to work on over the next year. The concept for the book was originally created in response to the Creative Conscience mental health brief (https://www.creative-conscience.org.uk/awards/)

Lost and Found was written with the hope that it would help children who had lost a parent through suicide to navigate through their grief process.
Using storytelling and images to explore the different emotions a child may feel during this time, Lost and Found seeks to articulate an understanding which stories suicide as an illness; externalising it in a way that will hopefully prevent the feelings of guilt or responsibility that those left behind often feel. Most of all, Lost and Found was written to remind children that they are still so very loved, even if their parent cannot be with them in the way as before.
